Working alongside Nighlight Labs, Ryot, and The Huffington Post, we developed a TouchDesigner system for 2019 LA Pride that would allow visitors to see themselves dancing through geometry on an interactive LED wall.
Using TouchDesigner, we constructed a show system which used ZED depth cameras to power a selection of effects where user movement was translated in realtime into generative art. A GLSL shader converted optical flow data from the depth image to movable particles, feedback loops distorted and amplified user silhouettes, and background algorithms generated geometry for interaction and cohesion.
